Zindagi ek safar hai suhana by Mazhar Ali Singer

Birmingham: All Pakistani Women’s Association (APWA) celebrated it’s 50 years in Birmingham. The organisation encourages women to recognise their potential and helps and supports them to access and create opportunities . APWA also organises various events throughout the years and invites Women to participate and involve themselves and their families. The gatherings also provide women with a platform to make friendships and alliances with people from their own community and with the wider community. They are also some events in which information is provided on what is available within the community and on a wider scale. The organisation is recognised on a global level. This legacy is left by Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan, wife of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan the honourable Mr Liaquat Ali Khan. She founded APWA in 1949 to help and support Pakistani women to access opportunities and encouraged them to participate and gain recognition and become involved, not only within their own community but on a wider societal platform. Today APWA is a global organisation thanks to the hard work of the Pakistani women to make it into such an organisation and it will carry on from strength to strength through the generations.
