The United Nations has demanded that those responsible for the martyrdom of a civilian in Sopore be held accountable. The administration should not ban demonstration. Expressing grief over the martyrdom of a civilian in Sopore area of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, the UN chief said that the culprits must be punished. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said during a daily briefing. UN Secretary-General António Guterres is deeply saddened by Wednesday’s martyrdom in Kashmir and those who are involved in this crime should be severely punished. The United Nations is gathering more details in this regard. After the martyrdom of 55-year-old Bashir Ahmed Khan, his relatives have claimed that he was shot dead by the CRPF while the police have termed the allegations as baseless.
