London: Senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani was awarded The Nishan-e-Pakistan (Order of Pakistan) this award is the highest civil award and decoration of Pakistan, bestowed by the President for the highest degree of service to the citizens of the country as well as foreign nationals. The award was established on 19 March 1957. This award of “Nishan-e-Pakistan” was presented on the occasion of Pakistan’s 73rd Independence Day. The President of Pakistan Arif Alvi presented the award in ​​a special ceremony at the Presidency. The award was received by Hurriyat leaders in Islamabad. This month, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that on August 14th, that this years award would be given to the senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
