Jimmy Engineer gives talk about his life and art at the High Commission

Jimmy Engineer, one of Pakistan’s most revered painter and philanthropist gave an illustrated talk on his art and life at the Pakistan High Commission London on 25 July 2018. The event was jointly organized by The Pakistan Society and the High Commission.

Critically acclaimed artist shared his artistic and spiritual journey with the audience in a most captivating way. The illustrated talk contained his endeavours and achievements in art and personal life. Being a social campaigner and peace activist, he shed light on his philanthropic pursuits and the way he is using his art and fame to contribute towards peace building and other good causes like supporting the charities and helping the needy.

Jimmy Engineer is perhaps best known as one of Pakistan’s most celebrated artists. He was educated at St Anthony’s School in Lahore and then spent three years at the National College of Art in Lahore before moving to Karachi and becoming a professional artist. Since then he has created over 3000 paintings, 1000 calligraphies and 1500 drawings, which are in museums and private collections in more than 60 countries throughout the world. His work has been shown all over the world to critical acclaim.
