Kashmiri diaspora in the UK demand immediate suspension, & investigation of British MP Virenda Sharma in abusing his position

London:

A letter was written to Tim Dave, Director General of  BBC by British MP Virenda Sharma who wrote a shocking and disgraceful letter to Tim Dave, in an attempt to push the far right agenda of the Indian government, which is in clear violation of human right abuses in Indian occupied Kashmir. The letter is a violation against the core values of the Labour Party and as such we call upon upon an immediate investigation into the actions of MP Virenda Sharma. The Labour party respects the UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir which clearly state that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and the future of Jammu and Kashmir must  be determined by the people of Jammu and Kashmir through a free and impartial plebiscite. We are thankful to the BBC for showing Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory.

“It was shocking and disgraceful to learn that  an elected member of British Parliament has pushed a narrative belonging to the far-right of the Indian govt.” said by Fahim Kayani, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK  in response to the letter written to BBC director by  British MP Virenda Sharma  about not showing Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India in the map issued by BBC.
