HRH Prince Richard,the Duke Of Gloucester at South and City College Birmingham

Birmingham: 23rd November 2016 was a proud moment for Mohammed Zafran BEM who was honored with a Royal Visit from HRH Prince Richard,the Duke Of Gloucester at South and City College. Zafran (known as Zaf) got the Royal Visit because of his selfless and inspiring work in the community which has changed over 20,000 lives and given them a new lease of life. Zaf who is the Founder of All 4 Youth & Community spoke about how his 24 year old brother in laws murder inspired him to help youths stay away from crime and get back in education. Zaf also spoke about his Women Academy and how many young Asian women who were being forced to quit education at the age of 15, had participated in his academy and progressed in further education. The Duke of Gloucester had a tour around the college and was pleased to see how many female students participated on the sports and public services course. Also in attendance was the Birmingham Lord Mayor, Lady Mayoress and Councillor Shafique Shah,South and City College Principal Mike Hopkins, Vice Principal Sardul Dhesi, Head Of School Thomas Mcgeever. Mike Hopkins,” Today is a proud day for a college like ours to get a Royal Visit. We as a college promote and help communities and are proud of the work Zaf is doing and the impact he is making in the community. Zaf spends a lot of time working with youths on projects and then brings them to the college where they are given the full support to progress in their careers.” Zaf,” I feel honored to have the HRH the Duke of Gloucester attend to talk about my work and visit the college. It is also a big day for the community as a whole as we can do with more high profile people attending areas like Bordesley Green. It was also nice to talk about the positive work which is happening in the City of Birmingham and people who are making a difference.” Zaf has won over 20 National Awards for his humanitarian work and will be given the Global Diversity Leadership Award in February 2016 in Mumbai India.
