Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed shock and grief at another gruesome killing in Kashmir

Srinagar; September 18: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) led by incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed shock and grief at another gruesome killing in Kashmir. A day after the killing of the 24 year old youth from sopore in police custody , a 45 year old woman from batmallo ,Kauser Sofi was killed on the spot by the bullets of forces . As seen in media reports her family is inconsolable as they are unable to understand why she has been killed in this manner.
APHC said the incidents of killing of Kashmiris by forces continues unabated for the past thirty years.

Welcoming the statement of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres
reiterating his stand on resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute,APHC said that the onus of a peaceful resolution and an end to human rights violations in J&K lies with it . It should ensure India and Pakistan resolve the issue through dialogue as per the wishes of people of J&K so that people of J&K stop being killed and live with dignity.
