High Commissioner meets the FCO Minister of State for Asia & Pacific

High Commissioner Mohammad Nafees Zakaria met with Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, The Rt Hon Mark Field MP, accompanied by members of the Pakistan Team from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

Welcoming the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, the Minister assured all assistance in discharging his duties and endeavours to further strengthen the longstanding cordial bilateral relations.

Mr. Field expressed his Government’s desire to enhance bilateral economic cooperation, particularly, through trade and investment. He appreciated Pakistani Diaspora as a strong bridge between the two countries.

The High Commissioner apprised the Minister of the Government’s priorities, policy approach towards promoting foreign relations, peace and security in the region, and at the domestic front, economic reforms, governance and people centric socio-economic development plans.

Both sides also discussed matters of bilateral interest, regional issues and recent developments.
