Shahid Kapoor opens up on playing the role of a chain-smoker in Kabir Singh

Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming film Kabir Singh along with his co-star Kiara Advani. The film happens to be a remake of Telugu super hit film Arjun Reddy.
In the trailer, audiences see Shahid’s plays the character of an aggressive and violent person. Shahid’s character Kabir smokes a lot. But the actor doesn’t endorse smoking in real-life.
The actor reportedly shared he doesn’t endorse smoking at all. However, his role required it, as the lead uses it to channel his anxiety and rage. It wasn’t easy for him and it came to a point where he smoked almost20 cigarettes a day.
Kabir Singh is slated to release in cinemas on 21st June 2019 and is distributed by Cinestaan Film Company.
