Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri Exiled Chairman of United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP) strongly condemned illegal kidnapping of Kashmiri Journalist Tanveer Ahmed from Kotli Pakistani held Kashmir and demands for his immediate release.According to resources and application submitted by Tanveer Ahmed wife’s at local police station that on 15th August 2016 Kashmiri Journalist ,Tanveed Ahmed from Sehnsa Kotli Pakistani held Kashmir , who was kidnapped by Pakistani armed forces at Dohsa Morr Abbaspur Distt. Poonch so called Azad Kashmir. Nobody knows about his where about.Calling on the Pakistani authorities Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri Exiled Chairman of United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP) strongly condemned illegal kidnapping of Kashmiri Journalist Tanveer Ahmed from Kotli Pakistani-held Kashmir and demands for his release immediately and unconditionally.Mr.Kashmiri asked authorities to ensure that while he is detained, he is protected from torture and other ill-treatment Kashmiri journalists including those working for unification and an independent Kashmir are harassed, kidnapped, abducted , tortured and in some cases killed by Pakistani armed forces he added.
Mr.Kashmiri urged upon international organization of human rights and international union of journalist to help secure the life of Kashmiri journalist Tanveer Ahmed and put pressure on Pakistani security agencies to stop harassing, abducting and killing on Kashmiri Nationalists and journalists. If the Organisation working for freedom of press, freedom of expression and freedom of media still keep silent on such criminal acts of Pakistan, then journalism in Kashmir will vanish and the voice the people of occupied Kasmhir cannot reach to world community.
Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri also urged upon the Reporter without Borders, International Association of Journalists, International Union of Journalists, Union of Journalists, and PFUJ to call emergency to put pressure on Pakistan to stop harassing and intimidating the Journalists in its held Kashmir.
