Birmingham: The 46th Anniversary of the Independence and National Day of Bangladesh was observed by Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Birmingham in a befitting manner.On 29th March 2017, the Independence and National Day Reception was held in Royale Suite Banqueting Hall, Perry Barr, Birmingham. The Lord Lieutenant of West Midlands Mr. John Crabtree, OBE represented HM the Queen. Moreover, Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Carl Rice, Bangladesh High Commissioner in UK His Excellency Mr. Md. Nazmul Quaunine, The High Sheriff of West Midlands Dr. K. G. Bradshaw, Deputy Lieutenant Mr. Satya Sharma MBE, Deputy Lieutenant Dr. Rashid Gatrad OBE, Former Lord Lieutenant Mr. P. C.
