High Commissioner inaugurates Unity in Variety Art Exhibition

H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK inaugurated Unity in Variety VI Art Exhibition at Gabriel Fine Arts gallery in London on 18 November 2016. The exhibition was put together by Barikee–Islamic and Pakistani Fine Art Gallery–in collaboration with Gabriel Fine Arts, Bernardo and World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis (WCOP).

In his inaugural address, the High Commissioner said that exhibition of the work of contemporary artists from Pakistan in London is a great effort to promote the rich cultural heritage and vibrant art of Pakistan. He said: ” As the name of the exhibition suggests, I am delighted to learn that the exhibition focuses on the commonalities among different cultures through the medium of art and brings together artists from different parts of the world. It is good to see that majority of the artists featuring their work today are from Pakistan, who are amazingly talented and are recognized worldwide.”

The High Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the organizers of exhibition for promoting artistic side of Pakistan. He also congratulated the artists on making their way to the exhibition.

The exhibition comprises of a series of shows which brings together artists from across the globe. It is feature eight contemporary Islamic and Pakistani artists including Bin Qulander, Sadaf Farasat and Siddiqa Juma alongside artists from several other countries.
